Ozburn-Hessey Logistics Employee to Lead Florida Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association, Inc.

Brentwood, Tenn. (Vocus) May 23, 2008 -- Albert Oses, regional sales manager for Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OH Logistics), has been elected as president of the Florida Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association, Inc. (FCBF).

Oses began leading the 600-plus member association after he was formally inducted as president in early May at the FCBF?s 49th annual Gala Celebration. Oses will lead the association?s efforts in maximizing the ability of the State of Florida to effectively compete for international trade resources while minimizing barriers for its members.

?I am honored to serve as president of this association and to work with the diverse body of members who are all dedicated to the development of international trade policy in Florida,? stated Oses. He has been an active member of the organization for 25 years.

The FCBF is a statewide association that fosters communication between the logistics and trade community and federal agencies to expand Florida?s trading communities at the local, state, and national levels. The FCBF reports to the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America led by OH Logistics? SVP, Mary Jo Muoio, who was recently elected to a second term as president of the organization.

In his new role, Oses will also hold a seat on the board of directors of the Miami-Dade County International Trade Consortium, which includes local government commissioners and the mayor. With this appointment, Oses plans to meet with directors of the ports and airports of Florida, as well as senators and congressional representatives, to discuss trade agreements and issues between Latin America and South Florida.
